FREE Spaying and Neutering of dogs and cats in Messinia

The Animal Welfare Group of Western Messinia Stray Hope, in collaboration with the Captain’s Foundation Vassilis and Carmen Konstantakopoulos and the Costa Navarino company,organised for the first time an action with free sterilisations of dogs and cats and free marking of these dogs and cats.

The action takes place in the municipalities of Trifylia and Pylos-Nestoros in collaboration with private veterinary clinics in our region. The animal welfare group Stray Hope invites all citizens who have adopted a dog or kitten and wish to have it spayed or neutered to call:

According to the law 4830/2021 the owner of a pet animal is obliged to sterilise it the owner of a pet animal, if it is a dog or a cat, within six months of its acquisition if the animal is more than one year old. Sterilisation shall not be compulsory for animals for which a sample of genetic material (DNA) has been sent to the Laboratory for the Preservation and Analysis of Genetic Material Pet animals. 4830/2021-FEK A’169/18.09.2021 Chapter E’ Article 9.
